Facts and Figures

The first Stokesley Show was held in 1859 and succeeding years since then with the exception of the two great wars when Red Cross fund raising smaller events took place. A full list of Presidents can be found on the History Page. This list is a major local history lesson in itself, it gives an insight into some of the leading local citizens of their time.

Up to 1967 the Show was held on the third Thursday of September. 

Since that date the Show has been held on the Saturday following the third Thursday in September.

The 2010 show will be held on Saturday 18th September

Exhibitors please note that entries cannot be accepted by E-mail at the present time.

If you wish to enter please advise your name and address via the 'Contact Us' page so that a full Schedule of Classes and conditions of entry with an Entry Form can be posted to you for completion.

Entries close on August 29th each year but please return as soon as possible.

Following many years of the Society needing to observe a tenancy agreement this has now ceased and has full control of all the land for all time.

This now allows the area to be used outside the month of September for any number of events for which the Society may wish to plan but also gives the opportunity for other people/groups to put forward a proposition to promote an event.
