We are delighted to welcome our President for 2020, please enjoy reading a little about her, here. We look forward to seeing you on Show Day.

Mrs Plym Auty has lived in Stokesley for over 45 years having married Jeff a native of the town. She was employed for the majority of her working life in the NHS and on retirement saw an article asking for volunteers to help with the Show. Having been a member for a considerable length of time she applied and was accepted as the assistant Secretary to Alan Weighell in 1992. In the following years, she has helped with various and most administrative duties together with being a runner between Alan and the show field the week before the show, this was before mobile phones! On Jeff’s retirement in 2000 he took over the responsibility for the marquees and in 2002 she stepped down in order to help him.

She is the Lead Governor for the South Tees NHS Foundation Trust and she is proud to be the representative of the members in Hambleton and Richmondshire. In addition, she works with the North Yorkshire Education Department as part of the school appeal panels. When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her aged brown labrador, Autumn.

She was delighted to be have been asked to be joint President of the show in 2020 with Jeff, but since Jeff sadly died, Plym was honoured that the Council agreed she should continue on her own.
