Maybe not everything!
We have a proud history as an agricultural show dating back to 1859, after holding a meeting at the Golden Lion Inn ( now The Leven Hotel) on March 12th 1859 and it was resolved that _“In the opinion of this Meeting it would be greatly beneficial to this District to establish an Agricultural Society, with an Annual Show, at Stokesley, to be called the Stokesley Agricultural Society.”
The Show has only not been held during the wars of 1914 – 1919 and again in 1939 – 1945.
