Show back in 2023 – Saturday 23rd September 2023

Our Regular Events

As usual we will have the horse classes and the show jumping at 4pm when you can sit in the Members marquee and be in the front row, viewing all the excitement as you watch some of the favourites you have seen on the television.

The Cattle and Sheep will be in position for you to view being judged and at 3pm there will be the Grand Parade of all the winners.

The children’s marquee will have exhibits from local children in the area who have competed with their work, such talent we are nurturing in this area.

There is a dog show where you can bring your pet and compete, something for everyone.

The vintage tractors of yesteryear will parade in the main ring and for those of you who like the fur and feather animals, all the marquees will be open throughout the day.

Competitors

Some of the fiercest competition takes place in the Handicraft, photography, art, honey and dairy classes and these will be open after judging.

The Horticulturists amongst you will be able to see the exhibits of vegetables and flowers some of the finest in the land, there are also displays of flowers from the flower clubs and local nurseries with the opportunity to purchase a plant or two!

Trade stands

The trade stands on the showground are tailored to give something to everyone, ideal for that early Christmas shopping or just a treat for yourself and loved ones.

Bite to eat

There is a luncheon tent where you can purchase a sit down meal, or if you want to picnic there is a food court with every variety of food to tempt you.

Main Ring Attratction – Ben Atkinson & his Action Horses

Benjamin Atkinson and the Action Horse Team present to you a Celebration of the Horse!

Power and grace in the dance of dressage and the explosive airs above the ground made famous by the Spanish Riding School of Vienna.

And breath-taking Liberty. The silent art of compassion and connection as horses perform with absolute freedom in a finale to move the soul and inspire the mind.

A team of riders, trainers, and performers with credits on the silver screen pale into insignificance as they stand beside these magnificent animals.

A true celebration of the Horse

Hopefully, this will give a flavour of the day, don’t hesitate to come and join the fun.
